Almost Time for Some Soccer

World Cup 2010 is rapidly approaching, and though one of the authors (hater hater) is essentially a soccer "hater," he is just going to have to deal with a month of soccer starting June 11th and running till July 11th. South Africa will be playing the host to 32 countries, who all want to upend the previous champion...France.

The early favorite is Spain, but some injuries to a few key players, most notably...Fernando Torres, will add questions to a Spanish championship run. The early stage game to watch is what I like to call, "The Revolutionary War: Part Deuce." It's a match-up between the U.S. and England on June 12th, at 2:30 P.M. (Some one needs to set up a viewing party...you know who you are).

So this summer come find me, I'll be rockin' my Bastian Schweinsteiger Germany jersey, and we'll watch the "Beautiful Game" along with millions across the globe. I hope this picture can be acted out for real sometime during the tournament, lets make it happin'.

To give you a taste, here's the official theme song with some soccer added in
